"KRYZHANIVSKYI" LYCEUM
Kryzhanivka village
History of the Institution
Until 1944, the Kryzhanivka school was located in the area of Moloda Hvardiia Square, where only primary grades (1–4) operated; later, the 6th and 7th grades were added.
One year before the end of the Great Patriotic War, the school was destroyed by shelling by German fascists. Therefore, children studied in various preserved buildings on Naberezhna Street.
After the war, the issue of constructing a new school in the village arose.
In 1957, a new school of I–II levels was opened in the village of Kryzhanivka. The teaching staff was replenished with young teachers—graduates of Odesa higher education institutions.
Over time, two more buildings, a canteen, and a workshop were added to the Kryzhanivka school.
Since 1997, the Kryzhanivka school acquired the status of a school of I–III levels.
In August 2007, on the basis of the Kryzhanivka school, an educational complex “General Secondary School of I–III Levels–Lyceum” was established in Kryzhanivka village, Kominternivskyi District, Odesa Oblast.
From September 2013, it became the Kryzhanivka Educational Complex “General Secondary School of I–III Levels–Lyceum–Preschool Educational Institution” of the Kominternivskyi District Council of Odesa Oblast.
From October 2016, by the decision of the district council session No. 114 dated August 12, 2016, the name of the educational institution was changed to the Kryzhanivka Educational Complex “General Secondary School of I–III Levels–Lyceum–Preschool Educational Institution” of the Lyman District Council of Odesa Oblast.
From March 25, 2021, by the decision of the VIII session of the Fontanka Village Council dated March 4, 2021, No. 88 VIII, the Kryzhanivka Educational Complex “General Secondary School of I–III Levels–Lyceum–Preschool Educational Institution” of the Lyman District Council of Odesa Oblast was renamed to the Kryzhanivka Educational Complex “General Secondary School of I–III Levels–Lyceum–Preschool Educational Institution” of the Fontanka Village Council of Odesa District, Odesa Oblast.
From August 8, 2022, by the decision of the 22nd session of the Fontanka Village Council of Odesa District, Odesa Oblast dated July 7, 2022, No. 698-VIII, the Kryzhanivka Educational Complex “General Secondary School of I–III Levels–Lyceum–Preschool Educational Institution” of the Fontanka Village Council of Odesa District, Odesa Oblast was renamed to KRYZHANIVSKYI LYCEUM of the Fontanka Village Council of Odesa District, Odesa Oblast.
Priority Areas of the Institution’s Work
The main indicator of the lyceum’s performance is the effectiveness of graduates’ academic achievements and the development of students’ creative abilities.
A cross-sectional analysis of performance, in particular the participation of graduates in External Independent Evaluation (ZNO) / National Multisubject Test (NMT), shows the following results:
ZNO 2019: 1st place in Lyman District, 13th place in the oblast; ZNO 2020: 1st place in Lyman District, 21st place in the oblast; NMT 2023: 1st place in Odesa District, 3rd place in Odesa Oblast, 200th place in Ukraine; NMT 2024: 69th place out of 362 schools in Odesa Oblast according to the NMT 2024 results (Ranking of Schools of Odesa Oblast, 2024).
The institution began implementing the first elements of distance learning technologies in 2018 as part of a pilot project—the school received the status of an experimental educational institution at the regional level on the topic: “Organization of Distance Learning for School Students.”
In June 2018, participation took place in the work and training for English language teachers, “Camp Lead,” within the framework of the American-Ukrainian project “Development of Critical Thinking in the Children’s Environment” (teacher N. O. Naidanova).
It is precisely due to the work of the teaching staff with gifted youth that we have stable student achievements at the district, regional, and national levels.
